Recipe: Choc protein bars with pink pitaya jelly

The mother of all protein recipes! This is insane  - the beauty of these protein bars AND the flavor are out of this world! The healthiest protein bar you'll ever find, and we're giving you the recipe!

 

Ingredients:

Layer 1:

  • 10 medjool dates
  • 100 g pecans (or almond flour)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 scoops chocolate YHF protein
  • 1 big tbspn almond butter (or peanut butter)

Layer 2:

  • 1 frozen pack pink pitaya or 100 g frozen berries
  • 2 g agar agar
  • 2 tbpsn coconut sugar or maple syrup

Layer 3:

  • 150 g vegan black chocolate

Directions:

Mix all ingredients for layer 1 together in a food processor until you get a "dough ball". Push the dough in rectangle cups and push down with your fingers and place them in the fridge while you make the jelly.

Heat up the pitaya or berry mix in a pan and add 2 tbspn of water and the agar agar. Get it off the stove before it starts to boil. Let the mix cool down and then scoop the jelly on top of your chilled dough mix. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Get your bars out of the cups and dip them in melted chocolate. Place them in the fridge for 5 minutes. You can enjoy them for 4/5 days stored cool. (fridge or freezer).
